AS‑Interface master

As a rule, the master is connected to a PLC, with which it communicates via a fieldbus interface. Masters are commercially available for all common fieldbus interfaces.

The master performs the following tasks:

• Organization of data traffic in the AS‑Interface network
• Querying of signals
• Monitoring and diagnostics
• Mapping of AS‑Interface data bits to fieldbus data bits
