Energy storage unit cannot be synchronized (timeout)
Problem
The energy storage unit cannot be synchronized. The "DC synchronization" mode signals a timeout error or other error messages.
Remedy
- Check if a firmware update from V1.0x to 1.04 or higher has been performed for the MDP92A.
- If such an update has been performed, check whether the "Application limit – current A‑side negative" and "Application limit – current B‑side positive" are configured to a value greater than 0 A. The configuration of these application limits can be viewed in the configuration of the device in the "Monitoring functions" configuration menu in the "Limit values" submenu. A reset to the delivery state is necessary so that the device can set the correct current limits.
- Check the connection of the wiring.
- If device inputs and outputs are to be used: The feedback contact of the main switch/fuse must be connected to DI 02. The synchronization contactor is controlled via DO 02. If a multi-stage fuse concept is used, the feedback contact of the contactor for bridging the lower fuse is connected to DI 01 and the bypass contactor is controlled via DO 01.
- Check whether the application limits in the device are configured accordingly.
