State of charge control

INFORMATION

Generally, you will receive the values to be configured here during project planning.

Description

Boost charging power

INFORMATION: To control boost mode via the software module, boost mode must first be enabled here.

The boost charging power is set using the following parameters:

  • Activation of boost mode
  • Default value: Off
  • Setting the application limit B-->A in [kW]
  • Default value: 0 kW
  • Setting the application limit A-->B in [kW]
(only configurable with MDE90A; other than this read-only)
  • Default value: 0 kW

Voltage limits

Charge and discharge limits are set using the following parameters:

  • Application limit – voltage A-side in [V]
  • Default value: 0.0 V
  • Application limit – voltage B‑side in [V]
(only configurable with MDE90A; other than this read-only)
  • Default value: 0.0 V
  • Application limit – minimum voltage A-side in [V]
  • Default value: 0.0 V
  • Application limit – minimum voltage B‑side in [V]
(only configurable with MDE90A; other than this read-only)
  • Default value: 0.0 V

Current limits

Current limits are set using the following parameters:

  • Application limit – positive A-side current in [A]
  • Default value: 0.00 A
  • Application limit – negative A‑side current in [A]
  • Default value: 0.00 A
  • Application limit – positive B‑side current in [A]
  • Default value: 0.00 A
  • Application limit – negative B‑side current in [A]
  • Default value: 0.00 A

State of charge control

State of charge control is set using the following parameters:

  • Maximum voltage – operating range A‑side
  • Maximum voltage – operating range B‑side
    (only available with MDE90A)
  • Minimum voltage – operating range A‑side
  • Minimum voltage – operating range B‑side
    (only available with MDE90A)
  • INFORMATION: Setpoints (independent of the set unit) are limited to these values. If control of the boost mode is enabled via the software module, the boost mode becomes active from the voltage "Minimum voltage – operating range A/B" (depending on the selected control side of the output stage).
  • Default value (each): 0 V
  •
  • Lower limit DC link voltage – axis operation
  • INFORMATION: The connected axes can be operated above this voltage. However, the value must be below the operating range.
  • Lower limit DC link voltage – backup mode
  • INFORMATION: Up to this voltage in the DC link, operation of the 24 V supply from the DC link is still possible in the event of a power failure. The value must be below the "Voltage limit axis operation" value.
  • Default value (each): 0 V
  •
  • Activate automatic recuperation detection
  • INFORMATION: Further configuration steps are necessary to use the complete function. See recuperation detection.
  • Default value: No

Setpoint/actual value representation

The representation of the setpoint/actual value is set using the following parameters:

  • Unit for state of charge:
    • Electrical voltage [V]
    • Operating range in percent [%]
    • Electrical energy [Ws]
  • Unit for charge limit:
    • Electrical power [W]
    • Electrical current [A]
