Selecting the top drive

  1. On the "Basic settings" configuration menu, in the "Functions used" section, choose "Member 1" or "Member 2" in the "Top drive" drop-down list. When the top drive is activated, the following settings are automatically applied:
    • The external encoder of the relevant axis is deactivated.
    • The motor encoder of the axis is deactivated in the background, since the balance control is based on the feedback of the strain gauge. Nevertheless, a motor encoder is still required on the top drive for the application.
    • The priority for balance is set on a read-only basis to "User-defined skewing error".
