Automatic import

The "Automatic import" function loads all configuration files from the import directory (C:\ProgramData\SEW\SmartDataCollector\import) at the start of the program (check box "Load all configuration files from import directory at start of program") or by clicking the [Load files from import directory] button.

Since the loading sequence of the files from the import directory is random due to the system, objects contained in the current configuration (e.g. containers and endpoints) with the same ID might be overwritten during the import. This means that adjustments made since the last program start or when the button was last clicked will be lost. To prevent overwriting, first create a copy of the object before adjusting it to obtain an object with a new ID.

If the import directory (C:\ProgramData\SEW\SmartDataCollector\import) is deleted, the configuration that was originally created during installation is restored.

The "Automatic import" function is activated in the [Settings] menu in the [Data backup] tab.
