Restore (import)

To import a scope configuration, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the [Settings] menu and select the [General] tab.
  2. In the "Export settings" section, click [Import settings].
    • The file browser for selecting the import file appears.
  3. Navigate to the desired import file in the file browser and click [Open].
    • The "Options for cleaning up application configuration" dialog window appears, along with options for the import process. INFORMATION: The available cleaning options only delete the links from containers to device groups, devices and endpoints. Device groups, devices and endpoints themselves are still present.
  4. If required, make a selection in the "Options for cleaning up application configuration" dialog window and click [Complete import].
  • The imported configuration is applied.

 

If a network adapter was used in the imported configuration that does not exist on your computer or has a different name, the network adapter must be adapted in the software to communicate with the configured devices. Proceed as follows:

  1. Open the "Devices" tab.
  2. Click the [Device scan] button.
  3. Use the "Network adapter for communication" drop-down list to specify the network adapter to be used.
