Module description
The MOVIKIT® RotaryKnife software module enables applications involving a cutting or perforation process and flexible product length to be implemented. The cut material may be paper, film or metal, for example.
The software module provides the "rotary knife" function for thin material, and the "rotary knife with speed compensation" function for thick material. During operation, the functions automatically generate curve profiles for controlling the cut length and implement a synchronous movement of material and tool during the cut.
Examples of applications include:
- Cross cutter
- Rotary cross-sealing unit in HFFS and VFFS machines (horizontal/vertical-form-fill-seal machines)
- Perforation above rotary tool
