Configuring the external encoder

The external encoder must be configured via "Drive train DT2" to obtain the touchprobe values for the cut mark control in user units.

  • The "DT2 drive train" configuration menu of the inverter is open.
  1. Select "Create drive train manually" and click [Create drive train from catalog].
  2. Add the "Motor encoder" component to the drive train.
  3. Click "Select motor encoder" and select the encoder type used via the catalog.
  4. Add the existing mechanical components.
  5. Add the "User unit" component.
  6. Configure the "user unit" based on the data of the encoder used.
