Export configuration

For user-friendly changeover from DriveRadar® DataCollector to DriveRadar® SmartDataCollector or for transferring the configuration to another PC, the software offers the possibility to export the entire configuration.

The export contains the following data:

  • Device list, including all groups
  • Network configuration (IP addresses, interfaces) NOTE: To export network settings, the corresponding settings must be active at the time of export.
  • Cloud information (SAS token for endpoints, name of connection, proxy)
  • Scope templates/parameter templates
  • Memory management (limitation of memory space, ring buffer)
  • Metadata for devices (functional location, series/CDM number)
  • DriveRadar® DataCollector ID

Proceed as follows to perform an export:

  1. In the menu bar on the start screen, click "Export" in the "Device list" menu.
    • A dialog opens where you can specify the storage location.
  2. Choose the directory for exporting the configuration.
  3. Click [OK].
    • The configuration is stored at the specified storage location.

INFORMATION

The export of the configuration can be automated. To do so, first navigate to the DataCollector EXE directory and then run the following command line: SEW.DataCollectorCore.exe -export%Homepath%\dcb.conf (%Homepath% to be replaced with the path of the required storage location, if necessary).
