Module description

The Article Length and Gap Measurement Drive software module is used for implementing applications with velocity control and predefined fieldbus interface.

The actual position is preset as information for continuously tracking the change of position. Another function that it enables is the direct recording and output of the relative distance covered between two edge changes on the Touchprobe input. When sensors are connected, the length of an article or the distance between two articles can be measured based on the motor position. In addition, the inverter is parameterized for indirect operation with CBG22

The software modules mainly use the basic functions of the inverters in use in which the respective function blocks (such as FCB 05 Speed control) are activated depending on the application. This means the scope of functions that can be used depends on the inverter in use (e.g. encoder feedback available).

Areas of application for the software modules include, for instance, materials handling technology in logistics (e.g. belt, chain, and roller conveyor technology for unit goods).

No programming knowledge is required for startup and diagnostics as the software modules are integrated in the MOVISUITE^® engineering software.
