Mode

The standard implementation of AFW contains 3 modes: Maintenance, manual, and production.

The machine operates in "production" mode. In this mode, the machine produces at the set line speed and all actions run automatically.

In "maintenance" mode, the machine is maintained daily. The operator runs the machine at reduced speed and adjusts it in special positions, e.g. for cleaning purposes.

"Manual" mode is reserved for trained personnel. In manual mode, you can move individual axes, reference them, change the position of limit switches, etc.

The following table shows an overview of the modes in which states are active and those in which they are not. You switch between different modes if the state exists in both modes. SEW‑EURODRIVE recommends changing the mode only at standstill. Use the states "held", "aborted", "idle", and "stopped" for this purpose.
