Acyclic process data exchange

EtherCAT^® stations exchange the following process data via acyclic communication:

• Information about configuration
• Information about parameterization
• Diagnostics information

The basis for this are mailbox channels.

• CAN application protocol over EtherCAT® (CoE)
• Vendor-specific protocol over EtherCAT® (VoE)
• File access over EtherCAT® (FoE)
• Ethernet over EtherCAT® (EoE)
