Network components

Observe the following when selecting the network components of a PROFINET network:

• Use only industry-standard and PROFINET compliant network components.

• Make sure that the network components support the desired PROFINET conformance class, e.g. CC-B or CC-C.

• Use only managed switches.

• The managed switch must support VLAN tagging according to IEEE802.1Q.
