Electrified monorail systems (EMS) are track-bound means of transport with rails are attached to the hall ceiling or a steel construction. Each trolley on the track is driven individually and can therefore move autonomously on the rail system.

The trolley is contactlessly supplied with power by line cables that are attached in profile strips along the travel section. Thanks to the contactless energy transfer system, the current for the trolley drive does not have to be transferred via cable carriers or conductor rails as is usually the case.
