Establishing a connection

To connect a logical device to a real device, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the context menu of Slot 1 (non-safe process data slot) of the corresponding device or the context menu of a logical device.
  2. Click the [Link device] menu item.
    • The "DeviceLinker" dialog box opens. In the "DeviceLinker" dialog box, the devices that are compatible with the selected device are displayed by default, i.e. primarily known devices from SEW-EURODRIVE. To display other available devices, activate the "Display all Devices" option. This also allows third-party devices such as CiA402 axes to be connected.
    • The connection between the real device and the logical device has been established.
