Variable jerk

The additional function "variable jerk" allows to specify the jerk. When the fieldbus connection is activated, the process data length is extended by one process data word.

Note that the set jerk value is only applied when the axis is at a standstill (profile generation not active).

Note that the stop by setpoint function must be activated when using the jerk time to ensure jerk-free travel until standstill.

The preset jerk has no effect in the following states. In these cases, the "jerk time" of the inverter configured in the "Monitoring functions" > "Limit values" configuration menu is effective.

  • When selecting the default mode (value "0")
  • When the "Enable/application stop" signal is removed (FCB 13)
  • When the "Enable/emergency stop" signal is removed (FCB 14)
  • When an error response is active (FCB 13 or FCB 14)
