FS input error, FS encoder error

FS – input error

If the safety option detects an error at a safe digital input, the affected safe digital input is switched to the safe state. If the affected safe digital input is parameterized as dual-channel, both inputs are switched to the safe state. In the FS-protocol, the bits of the affected safe digital inputs are set to "0" and the error bit is set to "1".

In addition, the corresponding error code is transferred for the FS input error that occurred.

If a safe digital input is assigned to a safety sub-function via function assignment, then this safety sub-function is selected in the event of an FS input error.

At a safe digital input with detected error, the error must first be resolved and the safe state established before acknowledging the FS input error. In this way, a safety sub-function is not erroneously selected after acknowledgment of an FS input error.

FS – encoder error

If the safety option detects an error in the encoder system, this results in a warning if no safety sub-function is activated. The safety option continues to remain operational. If at least one safety sub-function is active, this leads to an FS encoder error. The safety sub-functions switch to the relevant error state. The corresponding error code for the FS encoder error that occurred is transferred.

In the case of errors in the encoder system that are assigned to the error class "FS Encoder error" or "FS System error", the corresponding error response is initiated as soon as the error is detected.

Acknowledging the FS encoder error with activated safety sub-function leads to a restart of the safety sub-function.

INFORMATION

Acknowledgment of a limit violation leads to a different behavior of the activated safety sub-function than the acknowledgment of an FS encoder error.

The response to an FS encoder error can be suppressed using the "Encoder error muting" function or emergency mode. The "Encoder error muting" function can be activated at a safe digital input or via the safe process data. FS – critical error

In the case of a critical error, the safety option is set to the safe state. Parameterization of the safety option is not possible. All safe digital inputs are switched to the safe state. In addition, the STO safety sub-function is executed without a delay. The sensor supply for the safe digital inputs is also switched to de-energized state. Active safe communication is suspended.

In addition, the corresponding error code is transferred for the critical error that occurred.

If the critical error was caused by the parameterization, you must start the safety option without safety key and then restore the safety option to its delivery state. You can then restart the safety option with safety key.
