Information
Observe the following notes during installation:
- Align the drive and the driven machine carefully to avoid placing any unacceptable strain on the shaft end (observe permissible overhung loads).
- Do not jolt or hammer the shaft end.
- Ensure that the cooling air supply is unobstructed. Warm exhaust air from other units must not affect the cooling.
- Check the degree of protection according to the operating instructions and the information on the nameplate for permissibility.
- The degree of protection of the drive refers to the installed condition with sealing on the flange side.
NOTICE
Danger due to a discharge of static charges when installing the drive.
Damage to property.
- Use ESD protective equipment during installation.
NOTICE
Danger as a result of an excessive radial load, an excessive tightening torque applied to the retaining screws or excessively long retaining screws.
Damage to property.
- Do not overload the output shaft in a radial or axial direction (see Technical data).
- Observe the maximum tightening torques for the retaining screws.
- Observe the maximum length of the retaining screws (see Determining the screw length).
