Information

Observe the following notes during installation:

  1. Align the drive and the driven machine carefully to avoid placing any unacceptable strain on the shaft end (observe permissible overhung loads).
  2. Do not jolt or hammer the shaft end.
  3. Ensure that the cooling air supply is unobstructed. Warm exhaust air from other units must not affect the cooling.
  4. Check the degree of protection according to the operating instructions and the information on the nameplate for permissibility.
  5. The degree of protection of the drive refers to the installed condition with sealing on the flange side.

Danger due to a discharge of static charges when installing the drive.

  • Use ESD protective equipment during installation.

NOTICE

Danger as a result of an excessive radial load, an excessive tightening torque applied to the retaining screws or excessively long retaining screws.
Damage to property.
  • Do not overload the output shaft in a radial or axial direction (see Technical data).
  • Observe the maximum tightening torques for the retaining screws.
  • Observe the maximum length of the retaining screws (see Determining the screw length).
