Installation requirements

Check that the following conditions have been met:

• The data on the nameplate of the drive matches the application.
• The drive is undamaged (no damage caused by transportation or storage).
• Ambient temperature according to the nameplate in the chapter Example nameplate and type designation of the drive unit and in the product manual in the chapter Technical data.
• The drives must not be installed in the following ambient conditions:
• Potentially explosive atmosphere
• Oils
• Acids
• Gases
• Vapors
• Radiation
• Clean the output shafts and flange surfaces thoroughly to ensure they are free of anti-corrosion agents, contamination or similar. Use a commercially available solvent. Do not let the solvent come into contact with the sealing lips of the oil seals – damage to the material.
