Error 12 Brake

Error: 12.1 (0C01hex | 3073dec)

Description: Brake output fault

Cause

Measure

No brake connected.

– Check the brake connection.

– Check the startup.

Brake cable disconnected in switched-on state.

Check the connection of the brake.

The brake was overloaded by an overcurrent > 2 A.

– Make sure that the connected brake is permitted.

– Check the brake.

The brake was overloaded by frequent connection (> 0.5 Hz).

Reduce the switching frequency of the brake.

Error: 12.2 (0C02hex | 3074dec)

Description: DC 24 V brake voltage not within tolerance range

Cause

Measure

DC 24 V supply voltage is not within tolerance range of 24 – 26.4 V.

Check the DC 24 V supply voltage.

Error: 12.3 (0C03hex | 3075dec)

Description: Brake temperature not within permitted range

Cause

Measure

Brake temperature not within permitted range (too low or too high).

Check the ambient conditions and the application.

In the case of decentralized devices, the overvoltage of the DC link is dissipated via the brake. As a result, the temperature of the brake is too high.

Check the application for how often generator mode occurs.

Error: 12.4 (0C04hex | 3076dec)

Description: Brake control module missing

Cause

Measure

Brake control has been activated although the device is not equipped with the matching module.

Select another brake type or brake connection.

Error: 12.5 (0C05hex | 3077dec)

Description: Short circuit on the brake

Cause

Measure

Short circuit in the brake.

Check the brake connection.

Error: 12.6 (0C06hex | 3078dec)

Description: Wear limit reached

Cause

Measure

Brake worn.

Adjust the brake or replace it.

Error: 12.7 (0C07hex | 3079dec)

Description: Overcurrent in the brake

Cause

Measure

Brake coil defective.

Replace the brake.

The brake requires more current than the brake control electronics can supply.

– Check the parameterization of the brake.

– Use a suitable brake/brake control electronics.

Error: 12.8 (0C08hex | 3080dec)

Description: Supply voltage fault

Cause

Measure

The fault can be caused as follows:

– The supply voltage of the brake rectifier is outside the valid range.

– The supply voltage of the brake rectifier is not available.

– Check the supply voltage.

– If the fault occurs repeatedly, contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service.

Error: 12.9 (0C09hex | 3081dec)

Description: Plausibility error

Cause

Measure

No brake connected.

Connect a brake.

Brake connected incorrectly.

Check and correct the brake connection.

Wrong brake taken into operation.

Check the startup.

Error: 12.10 (0C0Ahex | 3082dec)

Description: Brake wear – prewarning

Cause

Measure

Brake is close to wear limit.

Adjust the brake.

Error: 12.11 (0C0Bhex | 3083dec)

Description: Brake temperature – prewarning

Cause

Measure

Brake subject to excessive thermal load and prewarning threshold reached.

Check the ambient conditions and the application.

Error: 12.12 (0C0Chex | 3084dec)

Description: Supply voltage – prewarning

Cause

Measure

Supply voltage dropped below required acceleration voltage during brake release.

Check the supply voltage.

Error: 12.13 (0C0Dhex | 3085dec)

Description: Faulty voltage

Cause

Measure

The voltage of the brake output is not compatible with the nominal voltage of the brake that was started up.

– Check brake startup.

or

– Use device with appropriate brake voltage.

or

– Use drive with appropriate brake.

Error: 12.20 (0C14hex | 3092dec)

Description: Digital motor integration – critical fault

Cause

Measure

The integrated brake control has detected a critical error.

Observe the error message of the subslave. Identify the exact cause of this error message and take the appropriate measures to eliminate the fault.

Error: 12.21 (0C15hex | 3093dec)

Description: Digital motor integration – fault

Cause

Measure

The integrated brake control has detected an error.

Observe the error message of the subslave. Identify the exact cause of this error message and take the appropriate measures to eliminate the fault.
