Startup

There is a risk of personal injury and damage to property during startup. Observe the following information to avoid danger.

• Starting up the gear unit at temperatures below the permitted ambient temperature can cause damage to the gear unit.
• After installing the gear unit, check that all retaining screws are fastened tightly and aligned correctly.
• Make sure that the gear unit is grounded properly. Electrical mount-on components, such as motor, frequency inverter, etc., must be grounded separately.
• Make sure that all monitoring devices (such as pressure switches and temperature switches) are functioning properly.
