Configuring the software module
INFORMATION

For detailed information on how to use the MOVISUITE® engineering software, refer to the corresponding documentation.
Proceed as follows to configure the software module without MOVIKIT® ParallelMode (i.e. without combined control and reading of several devices):
- A suitable MOVISUITE® project has been created. See Example project.
- In MOVISUITE®, click on the software module.
- The configuration menus of the software module are displayed.
- Configure the software module using the configuration menus.
- For the changes made to the configuration to take effect, you have to update the configuration data. To do so, click [Update configuration data] in the respective message at the node or in the context menu of the MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER. The MOVI-C® CONTROLLER is stopped and restarted to update the configuration data.
Proceed as follows to configure the software module in parallel operation (using MOVIKIT® ParallelMode to control and read several devices in combination):
- A suitable MOVISUITE® project has been created. See Example project.
- Click the MOVIKIT® ParallelMode in the MOVISUITE® project.
- The configuration menus of the MOVIKIT® ParallelMode are
displayed. - Configure the MOVIKIT® ParallelMode using the configuration menus.
- In the MOVISUITE® project, click the device on the far left of the lower-level devices of the MOVIKIT® ParallelMode (master device).
- The configuration menus of the device are displayed.
- In the "Functions" > "Device functions" > "Basic settings" configuration menu, select the value "Master" in the "Parallel operation" section.
- Configure the software module of the device in accordance with the design report (operating mode, energy storage unit, fault response, etc.).
- In the MOVISUITE® project, click on the other lower-level devices of the MOVIKIT® ParallelMode one by one and configure them with the following steps.
- In the "Functions" > "Device functions" > "Basic settings" configuration menu, select the value "Slave" in the "Parallel operation" section.
- Configure the software modules of the devices in accordance with the design report (operating mode, energy storage unit, fault response, etc.).
- For the changes made to the configuration to take effect, you have to update the configuration data. To do so, click [Update configuration data] in the respective message at the node or in the context menu of the MOVI‑C® CONTROLLER.
