Configuring the external encoder

If an application with cut mark control is implemented using the software module, the touchprobe values for the cut mark control must be in user units. To do this, configure the distance encoder in "DT2 drive train" as follows:

  • The "DT2 drive train" configuration menu of the inverter is opened.
  1. Select "Create drive train manually" and click [Create drive train from catalog].
  2. Add the "Motor encoder" component to the drive train.
  3. Click "Select motor encoder" and select the encoder type used via the catalog.
  4. Add the existing mechanical components.
  5. Add the "User unit" component.
  6. Configure the "user unit" component based on the data of the encoder used.
