Module description

MOVIKIT® FlyingSaw software module is a software module used for implementing applications with machining processes in which a tool synchronizes to the material being machined in a linear motion.

Examples of applications include:

  • Cutting of moving continuous material (flying saw)
  • Synchronous material transport (filling stations)
  • Flying stamp
  • Flying knife

A distinction is made between the following application types:

  • Parallel saw
  • The saw carriage travels with the material. The feed of the saw is triggered by a separate drive.
  • Diagonal saw
  • The saw carriage moves diagonally to the material direction. In this case, only one drive is required.

Possible master sources:

  • An external encoder mounted slip-free on the material web and connected to the inverter of the flying saw
  • A motor encoder on the material feed drive
