State machine

The behavior of "Automatic" operating modes follows that of an internal state machine. After running up, the operating mode is in the "Stopped" initial state. When an operating mode is selected, "Starting" state is entered. Once the starting process (SC) is complete, the state machine enters "Executing" state.
