Permitted axial forces

If there is no overhung load, then an axial load FA (tension or compression) amounting to 50% of the overhung load given in the selection tables is permitted. This condition applies to the following gearmotors:

  • Helical gearmotors except for R..127.. to R..167..
  • Parallel-shaft helical and helical-bevel gearmotors with solid shaft except for F97..
  • Helical-worm gearmotors with solid shaft

Contact SEW‑EURODRIVE for all other gear unit designs and in the event of significantly greater axial loads or combinations of overhung load and axial load.
