Mass acceleration factor

The mass acceleration factor is calculated as follows:

fa

Mass acceleration factor

JLx

Load moment of inertia reduced to the motor shaft

[JLx] = kgm2

JMot

Motor moment of inertia

[JMot] = kgm2

The motor inertia JMot is the mass moment of inertia of the motor and, if present, the brake and the flywheel fan (Z fan).

The load moment of inertia JLx includes the mass moments of inertia of the driven machine and the gear unit, reduced to the motor shaft.
