Exchange fieldbus controller via hardware button

INFORMATION

This is used if the internal conveyor logic is used without connection to the higher-level controller.

The ECC-DFC fieldbus controller has one option to perform a device replacement without other auxiliary equipment. Proceed as follows to exchange the fieldbus controller using the hardware button:

  1. Remove the voltage supply from the fieldbus controller.
  2. Remove the connection cable from the fieldbus controller that you want to exchange.
  3. Remove the 2 retaining screws from the fieldbus controller.
  4. Install the new fieldbus controller using the 2 retaining screws.
  5. Connect the connection cable to the new fieldbus controller.
  6. Check all connections and switch the supply voltage back on.
  7. Push the hardware button for 2 seconds.
  • The fieldbus controller has been successfully exchanged and the status LED flashes in green.

The parameter set saved in the neighboring fieldbus controller is transferred to the new fieldbus controller. Once the parameter set is transferred, the communication LED and the status LED flash in green.
