Installation altitude

Due to the low air density at high installation altitudes, heat dissipation on the surface of motors and gear units decreases. The rated data specified in the catalog applies to an installation altitude of maximum 1000 m above sea level. Installation altitudes > 1000 m above sea level must be taken into account for project planning of gear units and gearmotors.
