Information on IT security
The following information applies if the device has the respective interface.

Before connecting, make sure that the engineering PC is adequately protected with regard to IT security. To do so, check whether anti-virus software and all updates for it are available on the engineering PC. For this connection, use a point-to-point Ethernet connection if possible and do not connect the engineering PC to a network.
INFORMATION
Make sure that only authorized persons can access the interfaces. If necessary, restrict the access to the devices via the group policy of the Windows operating system. The restriction can also be user-based. If you do not use the interfaces, block them using the group guidelines of the Windows operating system.
Observe the following safety note if the device has Telnet or FTP services:
