Parameter setting modes of the inverter

The Easy mode and Expert mode are available for the startup procedure of an SEW‑EURODRIVE decentralized inverter.

Easy mode

• Easy startup with predefined control interface. Startup does not require any software or keypads.
• Setting parameters, setpoints, and additional functions can only be set using the mechanical setting elements (potentiometers and DIP switches) on the inverter.
• When you switch to Easy mode, all parameters are reset to the delivery state.
• The parameters are write-protected. Only the parameters for configuring the device address and the parameter setting mode can be changed in the Easy mode.

Expert mode

• Parameter setting mode with full access to all device functions
• The predefined control interface of the inverter can be adapted to the requirements of the application.
• The mechanical setting elements can be deactivated. This activates their parameterizable substitute values.
• The parameters can be configured using the MOVISUITE^® engineering software or the CBG21A keypad.
