Device behavior in the event of an error

The following table shows the AS-Interface communication errors that can occur on SEW‑EURODRIVE inverters:

Double addressingError with self-reset. | The master has detected an address conflict. The device address is already being used by another AS‑Interface device. | The bus-specific LED of the inverter flashes 2 x red, 2 x yellow. | Set an unused device address. Risk of injury due to a restart of the drive if a valid device address is assigned and enable signals are present for the master. Death, severe injury, or damage to property. Inhibit the device to ensure there is no uncontrolled enable of the drive. Block access to the potential hazard zone by using available safety equipment. |
Inverter not found | There is no voltage supply to the inverter or the supply is insufficient. | The master cannot find the inverter and displays the message "Device not found". | Make sure that the inverter is supplied with line voltage or DC 24 V backup voltage. |
Communication timeoutError with self-reset. | There may be a ground fault on the AS‑Interface network. | The drive stops with an error message. | Check the physical connections of the devices. For further information, refer to the documentation of the respective device. Risk of injury due to a restart of the drive if valid messages are received again and enable signals are present for the master.Death, severe injury or damage to property. Inhibit the device to ensure there is no uncontrolled enable of the drive. Block access to the potential hazard zone by using available safety equipment. |
