Module description

The MOVIKIT® DeviceVitality software module is used for recording and monitoring the "state of health" (e.g. temperature, electrical power) in order to identify components (e.g. drive unit) of the MOVI-C® modular automation system. As a software-based smart service at edge level, MOVIKIT® DeviceVitality establishes the connection between automation and IoT and in this way enables asset management, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance.

The parameters acquired by the MOVIKIT® DeviceVitality software module are preprocessed by several methods (e.g. average, minimum, maximum, and utilization values) for various time periods (e.g. minute, hour, day, month, total operating time). These parameters can additionally be combined with preconfigurable, parameterizable monitoring functions to implement condition monitoring including notifications.

The data recorded by the software module can be used directly in the code according to IEC 61131-3, made available via a standardized OPC UA information model in combination with MOVIKIT® OPC-UA, and can be visualized directly on the system in combination with MOVIKIT® Web Visualization.
