Project planning
Check if the available current for the electronics cover power supply unit is adequate for the total electricity requirements of all consumers:
- Determine the available current of the electronics cover power supply according to the following table:
Electronics cover | Available current | Maximum current |
---|---|---|
Size 1 Size 2 without fan | 820 mA | 1250 mA |
Size 2 with fan | 1180 mA | 1600 mA |
- Add the electricity requirements of all consumers according to the following table:
Consumer | Electricity requirement | ||
---|---|---|---|
| Electronics cover (basic requirement) | Size 1 Size 2 without fan | 210 mA |
Size 2 with fan | 570 mA | ||
1. | MOVILINK® DDI encoder (..Z) | 120 mA | |
2. | Keypad (CBG..) | 50 mA | |
3. | Safety technology | STO connected | 0 mA |
Internal STO, jumpered | 20 mA | ||
Option /SBA | 90 mA | ||
Option /SLA without EI7C-FS | 100 mA | ||
Option /SLA with EI7C-FS | 250 mA | ||
4. | F-DI secure digital inputs (only for drive unit with option /SLA) | Max. 360 mA per F-DI Max. 360 mA in total | |
5. | DI digital inputs (sensor supply) | Max. 500 mA per DI Max. 500 mA in total | |
6. | DO digital outputs | Max. 50 mA per DO Max. 100 mA in total |
- Compare the total electricity requirements of all consumers to the available current without an external 24 V power supply (e.g., 24 V from internal power supply unit):
If the total electricity requirement of all the consumers is greater than the available current of the electronics cover power supply unit, you must externally supply the drive unit with 24 V.
In this case, the specified maximum currents are not allowed to be exceeded.
