SEW MDC90A/MDC92A capacitor module

The MDC90A/MDC92A capacitor module can optionally be equipped with a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor can also be read directly from the respective device (MDP92A, MDE90A) so that no additional I/O modules are required.

Do the following to monitor the temperature:

  • The temperature sensor is connected to the respective device according to the electrical wiring diagram ("Power and Energy Solutions" product manual).
  1. In MOVISUITE®, open the "Energy storage" configuration menu in the configuration of the energy storage unit and the "Local storage interface" submenu.
  2. In the "Analog temperature sensor input" section, select the sensor type "PT100" or "PT1000" (depending on the sensor used).
  3. Make sure that monitoring of the external error signals is deactivated.
  4. In the "Temperature monitoring" section, set the minimum temperature, the maximum temperature, and a hysteresis.
    • The diagnostic interface is automatically linked to the additional function StorageMonitor. Additional programming is not required and the diagnostics data is available to the user on the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER..
  5. Update the configuration data of the MOVI-C® CONTROLLER.
    • If the values are not plausible, only temperature errors and temperature sensor break are displayed.
