Requirements

The requirements for applications with a top drive are:

  • Top drive without external encoder
  • (A top drive with a second external encoder is mapped by means of the "skewing priority" function of the MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController.)
  • Strain gauge (SG) on the tower
  • The analog value of the strain gauge is analyzed…
    • in a voltage range from -10 V to +10 V or
    • a current of 4 mA to 20 mA
  • (It is up to the customer to select a suitable SG and the measuring amplifier. Contact SEW‑EURODRIVE Service for support.)
  • CIO21A option card in the inverter of the top drive
  • Software licenses for the following software modules:
    • MOVIKIT® StackerCrane
    • MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController Skewing
  • If multiple drives are used on the horizontal drive, then also:
    • MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController Torque
    • MOVIKIT® MultiAxisController add-on Cascading (on request)
