Replacing the output oil seal

  1. Perform the steps described in the "Preliminary work for inspection and maintenance" chapter.
  2. Remove the drive unit from the system.
  3. NOTICE! Oil seals with a temperature below 0 °C may get damaged during installation. Damage to property. Store oil seals at ambient temperatures over 0 °C. Warm up the oil seals before you install them, if necessary. When changing the oil seal, ensure that there is a sufficient grease reservoir between the dust lip and sealing lip, depending on the type of gear unit.
    • If you use double oil seals, fill one-third of the gap with grease.
    • Do not install the oil seal on the same track.
  4. Touch up or renew the surface/anti‑corrosion coating.
