Assigning device metadata
To assign metadata to devices, proceed as follows:
- Device metadata has been created. For more information, refer to the chapters Creating device metadata und Plant.
- Open the "Devices" tab.
- In the list of devices, select the required devices using the choice boxes. INFORMATION: If you only want to assign a metadata to an individual device, you can do so directly via the "Application type" drop-down list when you enter the corresponding device in the "Devices" tab and the following steps are no longer necessary.
- Open the menu with the functions for further processing
. - In the "Selection" submenu, choose "Assign application type".
- The "Application type" dialog window appears.
- Select the required application types from the "Application type" drop-down list.
- Confirm your selection with [Apply].
