Installing the IEC package

INFORMATION

If the same engineering PC is being used for the visualization (MOVIKIT® Visualization) and MOVI-C® CONTROLLER, the IEC package will have already been installed by this point and this step is not required.
  • The MOVIKIT® ModelBasedMonitoring software module has been downloaded as a ZIP archive (contains the SEW_DriveRadar_ModelBasedMonitoring and SEW_DriveRadar_ModelBasedMonitoringVisu IEC packages) from Online Support and the ZIP archive has been extracted.
  • MOVISUITE® and all CODESYS instances are closed.
  1. Open the start menu and enter "Codesys Installer".
    • The "CODESYS Installer" application is displayed as a search result.
  2. Open the context menu of the "Codesys Installer" search result and select "Run as administrator". Depending on the Windows configuration, you may have to enter your Windows user password to open as an administrator.
    • The "CODESYS Installer" is opened.
    • The installations available are displayed on the CODESYS Installer’s user interface.
  3. Click [Change] for the corresponding CODESYS installation to adapt the CODESYS version to the MOVISUITE® version used.
    • To find which Codesys version is used for which MOVISUITE® version, you can consult the MOVISUITE® version overview or the open IEC Editor via the "Help/Information..." menu. For example, MOVISUITE® V2.30 uses "CODESYS 3.6 SP17 Patch 2" as its basis.
    • This opens a dialog box with options for changing the selected installation.
  4. In the "AddOns" section of the dialog box, click [Install File].
    • A file browser for selecting the file to install the IEC package opens.
  5. Select the SEW_DriveRadar_ModelBasedMonitoringVisu IEC package downloaded from Online Support and click [Open].
    • This opens a dialog box for confirming the installation.
  6. Confirm installation of the IEC package. Depending on the Windows configuration, you may have to enter your Windows user password to start the installation.
    • Installation of the IEC package starts.
