Manually configuring the trace
- The IEC project is open in the IEC Editor.
- Open the context menu of the "Application" object in the device tree.
- On the "Add object" submenu, choose "Trace".
Configuring the trace
- Open the "Trace" tab by double-clicking the trace object you have added.
- On the "Trace" tab, click the "Configuration" link.
- In the "Recording settings" section, choose "TaskHighPrio" in the "Task" choice box.
- In the "Recording settings" section, choose "ms" in the "Resolution" choice box.
- Click the [Advanced] button.
- In the "Trace editor buffer size per variable (samples)" box in the "Advance trace settings" dialog box, enter the value "100010".
- Click [OK] to apply your entry in the "Advanced trace settings" dialog box.
- Click [OK] in the "Trace configuration" dialog box.
- Open the context menu of the trace recording (press the right mouse button in the yellow recording section).
- On the context menu, choose "Convert to multi-channel".
Adding variables
- Open the variable list containing the variables to be recorded.
- Drag the required variables from the variable list tab to the variables section (the white section to the right of the trace section) on the "Trace" tab. The variables relevant for checking the control for the software module can be found in chapter Trace variables.
Starting the trace
- Open the context menu of the trace recording (press the right mouse button in the yellow recording section).
- On the context menu, choose "Download trace".
Stopping the trace
- Open the context menu of the trace recording (press the right mouse button in the yellow recording section).
- On the context menu, choose "Stop trace".
