Mechanics-optimized positioning (1210)
The software module offers the option of positioning the travel and lifting axes in an mechanics-optimized manner. The axis with the longest positioning time at maximum dynamics values is determined to reduce mechanical strain. This axis will be the master axis. The travel profile of the other axis is optimized by reducing the dynamics values, such as acceleration, deceleration, and maximum speed. Consequently, the travel time is the same in both directions and the axes move nearly diagonally. This does not affect the cycle time and the forces acting on the optimized axis in the system are lower due to the reduced acceleration and deceleration. Furthermore, the optimization reduces the peak load.
Positioning starts when the respective dynamic parameters and the target position were specified and feed enable is set. The InPosition bit indicates when the target position is reached.
