Functions

In addition to the MOVIKIT^® OPC UA software module, the MOVIKIT^® OPC UA add‑on SensorInterface offers the following functions:

• Integrating a sensor as OPC UA server
• Transferring sensor data to the MOVIKIT^® OPC UA software module within the controller.

The following figure shows an example using the DUV40 sensor on a MOVI-C^® CONTROLLER as well as data transfer to a third-party product (e.g. monitor, HMI panel, higher-level controller, server or cloud).

The path marked as "optional" from the sensor directly to the third-party product bypasses the controller and is therefore limited to the sensor data. It is not part of this software. The advantages of direct feedback from the MOVI-C^® CONTROLLER to the process are not available in this setup.
